Bright on 30

On Gutter Fest we launched three new zines, one of them, a second photozine by Carlos Cancela named "Bright on 30". The photozine narrates a very hot day of August in the city of Brighton, England. Thousands of people hundreds of people braved the heat on the seaside and on the famouse Brighton Pie.

You can get a copy of the zine on the website or on festivals and shops where we usually go.

Gutter Fest 2

Poster by Clara-Iris Ramos

Yep, Gutter Fest is here! Tomorrow friday and saturday until 00h (and more...) Barcelona has a hotspot on Hangar.org, a art residence and working space in Emilia Coranty street 16 (Poblenou neighborhood). The entrance is free and you will have a chance to look at more than 70 tables of selfpublished stuff, music labels, silkscreens and whatever fits on D.I.Y.

Yeah, nice photo of Robert Roura on Vice Magazine.

We are going to be there with all the new stuff we have on the web and two speciall new titles: "Bright on 30" by Carlos Cancela and "Northwestern wild" from Paula Prats. Both of them are photozines, photobooks or photobooklets (choose the term you prefer). Something really important is the new comic we are going to have! Yes, back to the origins thanks to the new ci-fi comic by Robert Roura. Come and say hi (and buy, and buy)!

Fantastic video by Pau Anglada. Ants and old videogames.

We also going to have some music! Orgonomy records would be there with the new album Blue Birds Dominion and the already published Panda and Ash Me.

Robert (left) from Bad Weather Press and Margarida (right) from Desisto on Arts Libris

Quick update wile we are on the Arts Libris fair (wich opened yesterday) and will remain open until Sunday 27 April. After this event, we are pleased to anounce that our published (and reprinted) work from Carlos Cancela, Natureza, luz, homem, will be exhibited on the "Senza Meta. Il libro come pensiero fotografico" (Without a destination. The book as a photographic thought) and it will be one of the major show of the Festival.
The exhibition will remain open to the public untill 15th of June.

Fotografia Europea is an annual photographic Festival hold in Reggio Emilia, Italy, that this year reaches its ninth edition. The Festival is a cultural project that intends to attain the widest European cultural ambit and takes the cue by the work of the local photographer Luigi Ghirri who was able to create a dialogue between different artistic languages such as photography, architecture, sculpture, literature and music. The festival tries to keep this interdisciplinary attitude inviting artists and photographers from all over Europe and adopting a unique subject for each edition.

The exhibition has been possible thanks to the work of the Photobookshow and the TIP (Tokyo Institute of Photography), the Photobookshow is a Brighton-based arts organisation, set up in 2011 by William Sadowski and Kevin Beck to raise the profile of artist-led photobooks.

The Photobookshow aims to hold several exhibitions a year, alongside talks and workshops. The Tokyo exhibition comes after a recent exhibition in Malmö, at the Vasli Sousa (first weeks of February) and paves the way for the next great exhibition G Photobook show in Brighton (England) from the 6 to the 15 of June at the One Eyed Jacks Gallery.

New zines! February 2014

Oh! We have new stuff! Some of them were already on the website, but now you can buy them here. The first one was "No saquen las flores" from Pere Saguer and you can have a preview here. The second photozine is our first publication from Irene Serrano, a young photographer from Barcelona and addicted to party.

The zine has to be seen as a full summer carefree day. And with the nice sunny weather. But we are not very fans of sunny weather, truly.

Glorious Youth!
